It began as a normal day. One woman went out for a quick walk and noticed a man standing nearby with his phone up. At first she assumed he was just texting… until she realized the camera was pointed directly at her.
When she asked if he was filming, the man refused to answer and continued recording in silence. That’s when things escalated. Feeling uncomfortable and threatened, the woman confronted him — asking repeatedly “Why are you recording me?”
The man insisted he had a right to film in public and refused to stop. The tense standoff quickly drew the attention of bystanders, one of whom began filming the interaction as it unfolded.
Now the clip has gone viral — and the internet is divided.
Some say he’s legally allowed to record in public.
Others say there’s a difference between legality and basic respect — and that she had every right to feel afraid.
